The discovery of this material would be part of explosives abandoned by structures of the Residual Organized Armed Group, Frente 40, which commits crimes in this area of the Colombian southeast.
Meta. The permanent operations of territorial control, led in recent hours the troops of the Joint Task Force Omega to the discovery and neutralization of an illegal hideout with abundant explosives in the rural area of La Uribe, Meta.
The most recent operation was carried out in the village of San Carlos in the municipality of La Uribe. There, soldiers of the Rapid Deployment Force No. 1 conducted tactical reconnaissance tasks, finding a warehouse containing 26 improvised munitions, rudimentary made in a cylindrical shape with shrapnel and explosives.
The material was neutralized by the Explosives and Demolitions Team (Exde) according to the protocols established for this type of procedures, without generating any impact on the troops and the civilian population.
