During joint search and fluvial control operations conducted by the National Navy and the National Army, more than one hundred cubic meters of wood of different types and 60 gallons of fuel were found in the departments of Putumayo and Caquetá.
In military operations, it was possible to find 105 cubic meters of wood, which were transported aboard two boats in the village La Tagua, in the department of Putumayo, and in the municipality of Solano, in the department of Caquetá.
At the time of the inspection, the crew of the motor ships, did not present the required safe-conduct and the documentation required by the environmental authority, so that the material was put into custody of to the Corporation for the sustainable development of the south of the Amazonas - Corpoamazonia, regional environmental authority.
In the same way, in another fluvial surveillance and security operation, it was possible to find 60 gallons of fuel, transported illegally, in the village of Puerto Ospina, in the municipality of Puerto Leguízamo, in the department of Putumayo.
The fuel was transported aboard a rudimentary ship, by a man, 39, of Colombian nationality, who did not present the required documentation for transportation. The material was put into custody of the Mayor's Office of the municipality of Puerto Leguízamo.
