Troops of the National Navy and the National Army found about 5,000 gallons of fuel, in fluvial search and control operations, in the Department of Caquetá.
The operations took place in the sector of Santa Fe, in the municipality of Cartagena del Chairá and in the main port of the municipality of Solano, in the department of Caquetá, where 4,855 gallons of fuel were found, which were transported illegally on board two ships.
The boats were manned by two men of Colombian nationality, who at the time of the search, presented inconsistencies in the documents required to transport the fuel.
The material was put into custody of the authorities in the municipalities of Cartagena del Chairá and Solano.
So far this year, the Naval Force of the South has found about 66,000 gallons of fuel in its area of responsibility.
