Troops of the Joint Task Force 'Omega', through the Colombian Navy, rescued two older adults who had been trapped in their house in the middle of the Caguán River, in the area known as La Tolda, rural area of the municipality of Cartagena del Chairá, in the department of Caquetá.
The infantrymen of the Infantry Battalion No.31 , realizing this emergency situation, began a search and rescue operation to save the lives of these two elderly people, who had been trapped in the middle of the flood of the river.
Once rescued and evacuated to a safe area, adults aged, 63 and 73, thanked the troops for their help and for saving their lives.
