90 children received vital vaccination in their early stages of growth.
Under the leadership of the Navy Infantry Battalion No.14, the Colombian Navy benefited 788 people during a Wellbeing and Development Activity carried out in the village Paso Nuevo, in the municipality of San Bernardo del Viento, in the department of Córdoba.
During the activity, more than 500 services were granted in general medicine, psychological counseling, speech therapy, optometry, urology and gynecology consultations, as well as vaccination of 90 children. Additionally, hairdressing services were provided by a beauty academy in the region. About 6,000 units of liquid Bienestarina (dietary supplement) were provided and oral disease prevention talks and promotion of oral hygiene took place as well as and the supply of 12,000 liters of drinking water for community.
The activity was supported by medical specialists of the Naval Reserve of Sucre, the Coast Guard Station of Coveñas, officials of the Government of Córdoba, Municipal Health Secretariat, San Bernardo del Viento Hospital, Family Police Station, University of Sucre, IPS Mía Salud and Sandra beauty Academy. For its part, the Special Group of Operations of Awareness of the Navy Infantry Battalion No. 14 carried out recreational activities for children and young people who enjoyed a leisure activity and good use free time.
