So far this year, the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Cundinamarca has managed to neutralize several cases of kidnapping, has captured 107 people for extortion and has dismantled groups that commit this crime in different modalities to nourish the finances of Organized Armed Groups (GAO in Spanish).
In order to continue fighting this situation in the capital city of the country, this weekend in coordination with the National Police, the Technical Investigation Corps of the National Prosecutor's Office and local authorities, a tour was carried out with loudspeakers, brochures and awareness messages in the localities of Bosa and Kennedy in the south of Bogotá.
The campaign "I do not pay, I denounce" seeks to do pedagogy with the community in neuralgic areas with high flow of people and presence of commercial establishments, so that at the time of receiving extortion calls they do not become vulnerable people easy to intimidate and on the contrary the first decision they make in case of these crimes is always to denounce in lines 147 or 165 of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) and the National Police.
