The Colombian Navy, through Units of the Naval Force of the Pacific, during a Joint operation with the National Army, dismantled a clandestine depot with war material, military accessories and communications belonging to the 'Ernesto Che Guevara' front of the Organized Armed Group ELN in the sector known as Potedó, on the Litoral San Juan, in the department of Chocó.
Troops also found an M16 rifle rail, 5.56 mm caliber cartridges, flags and bracelets alluding to the ELN, military accessories of exclusive use of the Military Forces and communication equipment including radios and GPS, which were hidden in the middle of a wooded area in a clandestine hideout.
This hideout was discovered by Troops of the Navy Infantry Battalion No.24, attached to the Navy Infantry Brigade No.2 and troops of the Titan Joint Task Force, who thanks to naval intelligence information launched on the river San Juan a search and area control river operation.
Once the corresponding judicial proceedings were filled, the troops destroyed the explosive material under controlled conditions. During the operation there were no captures.
