During a coordinated operation, carried out by Colombian Navy Units, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office through the Judicial Police Group of the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) Specialized office Against Drug Trafficking, an operation was carried out against drug trafficking organizations that commit crimes in the Colombian Caribbean, achieving the discovery of 215 kilograms of high purity cocaine hydrochloride, which was destined for Honduras.
Through the 'Civic Participation Network', the authorities received information about a series of suspicious movements within one of the ports of the city of Cartagena, so that the physical inspection of several containers was carried out, achieving the discovery of 220 Rectangular packages that after being analyzed, left positive result for 215 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
It seems that the cocaine would belong to a drug trafficking structure associated with the Organized Armed Group known as GAO “Clan del Golfo”, which has criminal alliances within the maritime ports and terminals of Central America and Europe.
It is estimated that the value of this cargo in the international black market would cost more than 7 million dollars, a figure that, thanks to the decisive operation of the Colombian Navy in coordination with Colombian authorities and international agencies, will not enter the finances of transnational criminal organizations.
