The head of the Defense explained that “the Special Police District for the city of Quibdó will be created. This decision will lead to have a better administrative organization and destination of specialized police capabilities against common and organized crime. ”
In the same way, a Comprehensive intervention Plan against Crime will be executed in the city of Quibdó, which integrates capacities at the central level of the Police Intelligence Directorate, the DIJIN, the Police Department and the Citizen Security Directorate, with the aim of dismantling the groups that commit crimes in the city.
The Seventh Division of the National Army and the Titan Task Force will continue to carry out the operation against the GAO - ELN and the GAO - Clan del Golfo and will increase operations to dismantle these organizations that harm the security of the department's communities. The Army will in the same way increase coverage through a greater military presence in 42 populated centers in the north, center and south of the department of Chocó, in order to provide security to the most vulnerable communities and counteract the Organized Armed Groups that commit crimes in the region.
The Security forces will guarantee the return of the communities that have been hit by the phenomenon of displacement. The National Army, together with the National Police and with support of the Colombian Air Force, will execute operations against criminal mining, especially over the Quito River.
Along with the above, the National Army will support the National Police in the city of Quibdó, through a coordinated security plan that includes joint patrols in the sectors with the highest criminal rates.
On the other hand, the National Police will assign two judicial police officers to the Specialized Unit against criminal organizations of the Attorney General's Office based in the city of Quibdó, in support of judicial processes and investigation activities. In addition, the National Army put at the service of the Government of the Department the Military Engineers to build a roadmap that enables road infrastructure projects that benefit the community.
