These criminals would be responsible for the killing of two people, last January 20, in Cacerí, municipality of Caucasia, in the department of Antioquia.
Troops of the National Army, in military operations, with the support of the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, attending the early warning No.031 of 2018, managed to capture two dangerous members of the Francisco José Morelo Peñate substructure, of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
The military operation was carried out in Las Conchas sector, in a rural area of the municipality of Caucasia, in Antioquia, where the troops arrived alerted by the Civic Participation Network information about the presence of these men in the region. Upon arriving at the site, criminals are controlled and apprehended.
These criminals were identified as alias “El More,” 27, who had 11 years of criminal experience and would be responsible for carrying out selective killings and extortion charges in the rural areas of El Toro, Cacerí and Las Conchas, in the same way, alias Porras, 24, who apparently conducted criminal intelligence on military and police units, was also captured.
Troops seized a machinegun, a short range weapon, magazines and ammunition, as well as a motorcycle. Similarly, they could be responsible for the murder of two people at the farm Las Golondrinas in the municipality of Cacerí. These individuals were put into custody of the judicial authorities.
