With 32 units of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) in the country, Colombians receive important daily recommendations for the protection of their lives and businesses.
During the week from January 27 to February 2, 2020, 2,231 people were trained by the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) with information on the different modalities of kidnapping and extortion, as well as how to prevent and not become a victim of criminals.
There were 40 self-protection workshops, accompaniments to 22 events of businessmen and institutions of the State, 36 talks in regional stations, 444 radio advertisements, distribution of 12,009 brochures with the assistance line 147 and safety recommendations, 28 checkpoints, 158 informative patrols and 28 loudspeakers activities.
Taking into account that the citizens are not exempt from criminal acts, the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) are always available and strengthen prevention measures to reduce the operations of criminals who perpetrate kidnapping and extortion. People are Invitated to report these cases through the toll-free 147 line 24 hours a day.
