After several months of investigation, troops of the Military Police Battalion Nº. 13 of the National Army and the Attorney General's Office, captured three members of the organized criminal group called “Los Fariseos”, employees of the company Consorcio Express SAS, ate the service of Transmilenio, who apparently stole spare parts under in coordination with owners of private mechanics workshops.
“Los Fariseos” had been carrying out the thefts for approximately two years in the Juan Salvador Gaviotas operations center, where they extracted batteries, lubricating oils, belts, injectors, among others, which were illegally marketed in a workshop in the Barrio Santa Inés in the locality San Cristóbal Sur.
The operations of the gang generated several loses. Due to the theft of the spare parts, the vehicles did not fulfill the routes in time and the users had to wait while the problems were solved. In the same way, the patrimony of the company had loses as well, since each bus that did not fulfills its route represents for the company around one million pesos a day.
