In operations carried out by troops of the Fourth Division of the National Army, in an inter-institutional work with the Attorney General's Office, an armory was dismantled. It would be property of the GAO - ELN and the residual GAO, which would be used to commit criminal acts.
The events took place in the neighborhood La Reliquia, in Villavicencio, in the department of Meta, where troops of the Seventh Brigade, the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) and units of the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) carried out a search finding a clandestine depot where War material and ammunition was manufactured by hand.
Troops found war material such as grenade launchers, long weapons, ammunition of different calibers, accessories, welding equipment, cast iron stoves, drills, hammers and polishers, among other elements for the manufacture of firearms.
The finding of this armory weakens structures at the service of organized crime in urban and rural areas, and diminishes their capacity to commit acts against the community.
