In the San Pablo village, Cáceres municipality, as a result of a joint, coordinated and interagency operation, the capture of Mr. Horacio Antonio Montoya, alias “Ramiro” or “Comegalleta,” was possible. He is an alleged leader of the Edgar Amilkar Grimaldo front of the Eln and who had about 30 years in the organization.
According to intelligence information, this individual perpetrated kidnapping, extortion against merchants and transporters of the lower Cauca, middle Magdalena, Antioquia and southern Bolívar regions. In the same way he is accused of illegal recruitment of minors to form armed groups.
The Colombian Air Force, the Army, the National Police and the Nation's Attorney General's Office carried out this operation, which in the same way led to get materials with ideological and financial information of the Organized Armed Group.
