In an inter-institutional and joint effort conducted by the Colombian Navy, the Mayor's Office of Cartagena, the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management, ACD Consultores and the foundations Bahía, Puerto Bahía, AGM Huellas de Piedra and inhabitants of the Bocagrande neighborhood, were distributed more than 731 food basket tickets and 708 humanitarian kits in Cartagena, as part of the Humanitarian Support Activities that are carried out daily in the capital city of the department of Bolívar.
The tickets valid for 100,000pesos each will be redeemable in the Megastores supermarkets under the appropriate system to prevent crowds. On this occasion, more than 1,400 humanitarian kits were distributed to the inhabitants of Tierra Bomba in the insular area, the municipality of La Boquilla, as well as in the Cartagena neighborhoods of Villa Aranjuez and Isla de León.
Integrating the efforts of the public and private sectors, other vulnerable inhabitants of Cartagena have been receiving during the time of Mandatory Preventive Isolation the Unified operation of the State, thanks to the distribution of these humanitarian kits, including elements of primary use in the family basket.
