Following instructions of the National Government and the Minister of Defense, and in coordination with the Governorate of the department of Chocó, the Colombian Navy, committed to public health in the Colombian Pacific, used its air means to transport a group of medical personnel to the municipality of Nuquí, as part of the efforts to preserve the health of the most remote communities in the country.
In the same way, in coordination with the Mayor's Office of Nuquí and the Ministry of Health of Chocó, the current situation of some indigenous communities settled in the region is being verified, in order to support the execution of a health brigade if necessary.
In compliance with the Decree ordered by the National Government, to meet the current quarantine situation, all necessary security measures have been taken to support fishing and agriculture activities in the region, as well as the entry of precursors to provide the municipality.
