In the framework of Operation San Roque and as an institutional response to covid-19 in the department of Casanare, soldiers of the National Army and “Fe en Colombia” continue to work for the communities.
Thanks to the joint work conducted by the Comprehensive Action Battalion No.8, the Mounted Cavalry Group No.16 Guías del Casanare, the Professional Officers of the Reserve of the Eighth Division and Faith in Colombia, distributed 100 baskets of fresh food, 100 masks, 50 educational kits for girls and boys of the villages of La Plata, Regalito, San Rafael, Cafifies, Garzón, Macolla, Miralindo, Curimina, Brisas del Pauto and Bocas de Pore, in the municipality of Pore in the department of Casanare.
The distribution was attended by 10 presidents of community operation councils, who were very happy to see the important operation that the National Army is carrying out through these activities to help and mitigate the pandemic.
Etelvina Pinto, an inhabitant of the La Plata village, thanked the National Army for visiting them in these difficult times "and for the help they have given us as masks and food, God bless them."
