The worrying state of health of a 6-year-old indigenous minor the department of Mitu, activated through the National Personnel Recovery Center, CNRP, of the Colombian Air Force, the crew of the Caravan C-208 plane in medical configuration to depart the Air Command of Combat No.2, to ensure the good physical condition of the health of this infant who required urgent medical assistance specialized health center.
At the Fabio Alberto León Bentley Airport, in Mitú, the capital of the department of Vaupés, this first-line aircraft, equipped as an intensive care unit, and with a crew made up of an officer pilot commander of the aircraft, a co-pilot, a nurse and a military medical doctor to transport the child.
During the flight, the patient was constantly monitored for one hour, fifteen minutes, total timein the air until arrival at the Capitan Luis Francisco Gómez Niño Air Base in the municipality of Apiay, where an ambulance with medical personnel was waiting for him to subsequently transfer him to the departmental hospital.
The minor, belonging to the Tuyuca people in the Trinidad del Tiquié community in the Atizot area, was transported accompanied by his mother, who thanked the military air institution for the prompt response and accompaniment they made to improve the symptoms of their son in the city of Villavicencio.
