In the framework of Operation San Roque, the community support missions continue to be carried out during this health emergency. This time 61 food baskets were distributed by the Colombian Air Force to families of Meta in areas near the Air Command of Combat No.2, CACOM2, as a sign of support for the inhabitants who are experiencing difficult times due to the pandemic.
The distribution activity was carried out by CACOM2 military personnel with all biosecurity measures, in three vans loaded with aid kits and security personnel, who arrived at the hamlets La Cecilia and Vigía in the morning to provide this support to the most vulnerable families in these sectors.
"I am very grateful to my Air Force for collaborating with us in this time of need, the truth is that it is a very important help for me and my family since we do not have a job and this bascket arrives like something from heaven to feed our children"; those were the words of thanks that one of the beneficiaries of these aid kits expressed to the military in charge of the activity.
This new distribution of non-perishable food is part of a donation made by a private institution that, through a strategic alliance managed by the unit's Security Group No.25, led to obtaining these resources of the family basket and nutritional supplements for children under three years of age to alleviate the concerns of the community.
