This Organized Criminal Group, GDO (in Spanish), was dismantled in the last 24 hours. It would have been carrying out selective homicides, extortions and drug trafficking activities, among other crimes, in various municipalities of Antioquia.
Troops of the National Army, in permanent military operations against crime factors in the department of Antioquia, with the support of the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation and in response to the Early Warning No. 026 of 2018, in the in recent hours, thanks to the information provided by the Civic Participation Network, captured 31 individuals said to belong to the organized crime group (GDO) La Lela, at the service of the GDO Los Pamplonas, which maintains a criminal alliance with the GAO Clan del Golfo.
The operation was carried out in the municipality of Rionegro, in Antioquia, where the troops realized search warrants that led to the capture of 30 individuals; another individual was later caught in flagrante delicto. These criminals are carrying out selective homicides, extortions, thefts and activities related to drug trafficking, among other crimes, in various municipalities of Antioquia.
During this military maneuver, the individuals known as Huevo, who would be the second ringleader of the GDO Los Pamplona, and alias Pepón, head of the GDO La Lela, were captured. The other individuals would serve as narcotics distributors and would be members of the armed structure that is led by alias Yiran, the main ringleader of GDO Los Pamplonas, who is a fugitive.
In the same way, in the military operation, 2 shotguns, 5 communications equipment, 3 vehicles and narcotics were found.
Those captured were put into custody of the judicial authorities for the crime of conspiracy to commit extortion and drug trafficking, homicide, and drug trafficking; 29 were put into prison and 2 were put in house arrest.
In this way, the Seventh Division of the Army has managed to capture 193 of these criminals in the department of Antioquia, and 210 in its entire region of operations.
