Through the water route campaign, thousands of inhabitants of this region of the country benefited of the distribution of drinking water.
From Bogotá, the Support Command of Comprehensive Action and development with its Battalion of operations of Comprehensive Action and Development worked in coordination with strategic allies such as the Food Bank, Postobón, and the multinational Quala, to gather eight tons of drinking water that were transported by land to this municipality in the south of Bolivar.
Once there, men of the Comprehensive Action and Development Support Battalion No.1 and the Joint Task Force Marte in an inter-agency work with the civil authorities and the National Police, received the vital liquid and made its distribution, managing to benefit 14,000 inhabitants of Arenal.
The activity was carried out in the framework of Operation San Roque, with the purpose of continuing to help the inhabitants who need it the most and inviting them to stay at home and to maintain all biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
