The Fe en Colombia program of the Eighth Division, delivered 210 books to the José Antonio Galán school, which will benefit 480 students in Casanare.
Lleva una escuela en tu corazón (Take a school in your heart) is the campaign led by the Fe en Colombia program of the Eighth Division and the Integral Action Support and Development Battalion No.8, which comes to the municipality of Châmeza, delivering 210 books; donation that will benefit 480 students of the José Antonio Galán school. These books were collected thanks to the Gran Donation that was carried out in previous months in the department of Casanare, where citizens and the Corporación Unificada Nacional – CUN, participated.
Reading is a necessary activity for the mental development of human beings, which especially encourages creativity in children and adolescents. If we make it a habit we will potentiate its benefits, among which we can highlight: the prevention of memory loss, improve writing, avoid stress, and stimulate brain activity, among other benefits. Miguel Ángel Fajardo, a teacher at the José Antonio Galán school, said: "We want to give our most sincere thanks to the National Army and its Fe en Colombia program. Today they have donated these books to us to strengthen the education of the children and youth in our region. Thank you very much on behalf of the school and on behalf of the teachers".
