We continue to be in the most vulnerable municipalities of the Colombian Caribbean, distributing humanitarian aid to all the communities.
In a coordinated and inter-agency effort, the Colombian Navy, accompanied by the mayor of Cartagena and community social leaders, distributed 490 food baskets to the most vulnerable families in the municipality of Puerto Badel and planted 20 fruit trees in the municipality of Leticia, Department of Bolivar, as part of the commitment of the Naval institution and government institutions to provide humanitarian assistance in the region.
Rapid reaction units-URR - of the Coast Guard Station of Cartagena, transported by sea from Cartagena to the municipality of Puerto Badel, in the municipality of Arjona, Bolívar, the 490 baskets of food humanitarian aid that were distributed to the community that has been hit by COVID-19.
In addition, 20 fruit trees were planted in the municipality of Leticia, Bolivar, with the effort and commitment of the men and women of the Coast Guard Station of Cartagena of the Colombian Navy and the accompaniment of the entire community.
These activities have led to mitigate the economic and social impact of the most isolated inhabitants of the Colombian Caribbean, improving their living conditions in the short and medium term.
