In an Air Force helicopter humanitarian aid was transported for Indigenous people of Antioquia
Due to the situation in rural areas of the municipality of Caucasia and to prevent the displacement of Indigenous families, the Colombian Air Force, in coordination with the Government of Antioquia, transported more than 1.2 tons of humanitarian aid to the sector known as El Tigre dos.
This transport operation was carried out in a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter, transporting food baskets and toilet kits, which will benefit indigenous communities living in this area. These people have been victims of criminal acts by armed groups, who are fighting for territorial control.
Indigenous peoples in vulnerable conditions deserve all the assistance, for this reason, the Colombian Air Force arranged their air assets and crews, to carry out a humanitarian mission, under all biosecurity protocols.
In the same way, the mayor's Office of this municipality participated with an interdiciplinary team to know the needs of the inhabitants, review their health conditions and thus advocate for their well-being.
