In the framework of the campaign My Village Model, of the program Faith in Colombia of the National Army, through the Infantry Battalion No. 34 – Juanambú, of the Tenth Brigade, and the Battalion Support of Comprehensive Action and Development No. 6, conducted an activity of distribution of technological and bibliographic materials and school kits in the hamlet Fraguita in San Jose Del Fragua.
This activity counted on the support of the city hall and benefited the 103 students of the school Mari Inmaculada who are currently enrolled and due to the restrictions to contain the spread of the COVID-19 carried out processes in which school is using the system of remote education that consists in guides and academic support by the teachers, using the educational technologies and telecommunications through the platform WhatsApp.
During the event were distributed three full equipped desktops donated by the National Federation of Merchants, two sets of encyclopedias of six volumes contributed by the Support Command of Comprehensive Action and development of the National Army, as well as school kits managed by the program Fe en Colombia.
"It is expected that it is an excellent project for the community, I thank the National Army, faith in Colombia, the mayor of San Jose del Fragua, who has focused on this program, and the community that joined to make this event possible", said Gloria Yineth Marin, principal of the rural school Maria Inmaculada.
It is important to remember that my Model Village (Mi vereda Modelo) is a Colombian army campaign, which seeks to coordinate the community, the institutions and the government, to obtain immediate results for the benefit of communities.
