In an operation against drug trafficking, carried out through a joint operation conducted by the Colombian Air Force and the National Army, and coordinated with the National Police and the support of the Attorney General's Office, the structures that perpetrated drug trafficking in the Department of Norte de Santander were severely beaten.
In the village of Bocas de San Miguel, in the municipality of Tibú, a cocaine hydrochloride production laboratory that would belong to the residual organized armed group, Gao-R, Structure 33, which had a capacity to produce three tons of cocaine per month, was found. At the site troops found around 790 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride ready to be transported and marketed.
Taking into account the dimensions of this laboratory, the precursors and the machinery, it is estimated that the blow to this GAO-r is approximately 4.600 million pesos.
Similarly, within the framework of this operation and in territorial control operations, in the Village Los Vados, rural area of the municipality of Los Patios it was possible to find 570 kilos of marijuana creepy.
This operation achieved the finding of what would become 570,000 doses of psychoactive substances valued at 1,710 million pesos and that would belong to the criminal component of the organized armed group, GAO, EPL.
It should be noted that this gang intended to market the marijuana through the strategic mobility route of the border to Central America and Europe.
