From El Embrujo Airport, located on the islands of Providencia and Santa Catalina, humanitarian aeromedical transfers still been carrying out for confirmed patients with COVID-19, who are transported in isolation capsules monitored by military medical personnel.
The medical Cessna Caravan C-208B aircraft and its crew comply with strict biosecurity protocols to protect health and prevent contagion to the community and personnel on board.
After 20 minutes of flight, the aircraft landed in the Caribbean Air Group, where the patient was delivered to be taken care by the team of the departmental hospital of San Andrés.
During the emergency, due to the hurricane IOTA, the Colombian Air Force continues carrying out humanitarian aeromedical transfers to save the lives of the islanders and contribute to the aims of the State.
