Two members of the gang, that allegedly has links to the Clan del Golfo, were captured in Bogotá, carrying firearms and ammunition.
Troops of the Infantry Battalion No.38 Miguel Antonio Caro of the Thirteenth Brigade of the National Army, in coordination with the Metropolitan Police of Bogotá, captured in the Lisbon neighborhood of the district of Suba, two members of an organized gang, which -according to the investigations- trafficked weapons in alliance with the Organized Armed Group (GAO) Clan del Golfo.
During the procedure, two firearms, 100 38mm cartridges and eight 12mm shotgun cartridges were seized by troops; and a van vehicle was immobilized. Those captured will have to respond for the crimes of manufacturing, trafficking and carrying firearms. These captures are thanks to intelligence work carried out by the authorities in the department of Cundinamarca.
The National Army, through the Thirteenth Brigade, conducts multiple efforts to work hand in hand with all authorities and ensure the security of citizens.
