The 32-year-old man was one of the most wanted in Neiva due to his extensive criminal record.
Yeison Mauricio Cardoso Alarcón, also known as El Negro Acacio, was captured in an interagency operation conducted by troops of the Military Gaula Huila (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the Ninth Brigade and Officials of the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps), thanks to several months of follow-up work.
The capture order for the crimes of aggravated theft and association to commit crimes was issued yesterday afternoon. The individual had fled from justice several times, taking refuge in different areas.
The constant and permanent operation of the Military Forces led to his capture when he left a hairdresser in the Puertas del Sol neighborhood, in the south of Neiva. At the time of his capture, he was notified about his rights and was put into custody of the authorities.
The man was apparently part of a dangerous gang known as Los Gatos, a criminal structure that committed crimes in different parts of the city, where they theft through the use of firearms and cold weapons.
