The Colombian Navy, through the Amazonas Coast Guard Command, seized 5,650 kilograms of solid supplies used for drug production, in the area of San Juan de Atacuari, in Puerto Nariño, Amazonas.
The operation, which took place in the Amazon River, was possible thanks to information provided by the Criminal Investigation Section (SIJIN) of the Amazonas Police Department, which allowed to find a wooden rudimentary ship that transported the material without any documentation that allowed the troops to track the origin and destination of the substances.
During the operation in which urea, cement, ammonium sulfate, gasoline and a wooden boat were seized, three men from Brazil, Peru and Colombia were captured. The men and the seized material were put into custody of the Attorney’s General Office.
