* Alias Pólvora was listed as one of the Most Wanted Criminals in the Buenaventura District.
* With this capture, there are three Most Wanted Criminals in Buenaventura into custody of the authorities in the year.
In a joint and coordinated operation, the Colombian Navy, the National Army and the National Police captured alias Pólvora, who is accused of being the alleged ringleader of the gang Los Espartanos, a substructure in the service of the organized armed group La Local.
The capture took place in the Punta El Este sector, in the locality number five of the port city, where troops of the military forces, units of the National Police and the Directorate of Criminal Investigation arrived to arrest this individual, who was wanted for the crime of aggravated kidnapping for extortion.
In the operation, alias Pólvora was injured and was immediately taken to the Luis Ablanque De La Plata Hospital, where he is assisted by medical team.
Alias Pólvora is accused of being the perpetrator of crimes of homicide, extortion, theft and personal injury in neighborhoods such as La Palera, Inmaculada, Punta del Este and Santa Cruz of the locality number five of the Special District of Buenaventura, and would in the same way be the trusted man of Alias Mapaya.
The man was put into custody of the Attorney General of the Nation to be prosecuted and must face charges for the crimes of association to commit crimes with extortion purposes and kidnaping.
