The Colombian Navy, through the Naval Force of the East and in coordination with the Government of Vichada, the mayor of Puerto Carreño and the National Registry, reached the indigenous reserve Wazapanadagua, where the production of identity documents for approximately 50 members of this community was carried out.
Through the Mobile Brigade of census, search and distribution of ID cards of the National Registry, the civil registration, the identity cards and citizenship cards of these people were issued; this indigenous community is approximately 60 kilometers from Puerto Carreño, on the Orinoco River.
This activity contributes to the recognition and social development for the inhabitants of Wazapanadagua, since, with their identity documents, from now on they will be able to exercise their right to vote and access the services provided by the State.
During the campaign, biosecurity elements were distributed and awareness talks were held to prevent the contagion and spread of COVID-19.
