The Joint Task Force Marte, operational unit attached to the First Division of the National Army, in relation to the information published on February 17, 2021, and in response to the request made by the Municipal Personería del Río Viejo, Bolivar, rectifies the information provided about an arrest :
1. It was carried out under arrest warrant for the crime of aggravated homicide.
2. The person mentioned therein has no possible links with the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
3. According to the documents attached by the petitioner, the only investigation against him by the Attorney General's Office is for the crime of aggravated homicide and not for extortion.
4. Joint Task Force MARTE reaffirms its commitment to continue conducting military operations, to ensure the well-being, tranquility and progress of communities.
