One hundred and four kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, allegedly of the organized armed group, GAO, Los Pelusos, were found by troops inside a clandestine structure in rural Ocaña, and a coca-based paste production laboratory was found in Tibú.
Troops of the thirtieth Brigade of the National Army, in conjunction with the Colombian Air Force and coordinated with the National Police, in Pueblo Nuevo, municipality of Ocaña, find a laboratory for cocaine hydrochloride production allegedly of the organized armed group, GAO, Los Pelusos.
Inside the illicit complex, 104 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, 480 gallons of acetone, 75 kilograms of caustic soda, a two-cavity worm, an electricity generator, a distillation tower, a hydraulic press, a boiler, an electrical panel and a decantation device were found by troops.
Simultaneously, in the municipality of Tibu, in the Nazareth village, troops of this same military unit, found a rustic structure for the production of coca-based paste, apparently of the organized armed group, GAO, Eln, within it were found by troops 90 kilograms of cement, 75 kilograms of lime, 06 kilos of potassium, 15 kilos of ammonia sulfate, 13 metallic barrels, 03 barrels of 55 gallons of refined petroleum and 01 gallon sulfuric acid.
Both the chemical precursors and the material used to process the drug were destroyed under controlled conditions, severely damaging the financial scaffolding of these criminal groups.
