The General Maritime Directorate (Dimar), through the Port Authority of Bahia Solano, is prepared to receive its own inhabitants and tourists during the Easter holiday season that will take place from next Saturday 27 March to Sunday 4 April 2021.
Different meetings were held with the mayor's Office, National Police, Colombian Navy, Civil Defense and Migration Colombia, where the Maritime Authority outlined the operations and measures that will be taken into account during the season, in order to point to the safe enjoyment of this season, and at the same time, safeguard human life at sea.
Through the security operations by the local authorities, the good condition of the ships will be verified as well as the necessary documents and safety implements for navigation; in the same way, the correct implementation of biosecurity protocols by tour operators, and, the signaling of authorized points of embarkation and disembarkation of passengers.
With the Coordination with the National Police and Migration Colombia, it is expected to prevent the consumption of alcoholic beverages on boats, and the transit of foreigners through the municipality; it should be noted that these operations will be implemented in the tourist pier of Bahía Solano, Río Jella, and in the beaches El Almejal and Huina.
The General Maritime Directorate is committed to the safe development of the Easter holiday season, and reminds tourists that they must follow the recommendations of local authorities, in order to ensure comprehensive safety in navigation, safeguard human life at sea, and responsibly take advantage of the coastal spaces.
