In the parades field of the Non-Commissioned Officers Club of the military forces, the Minister of National Defense, Diego Molano Aponte, presided together with the military and police commanders, the military ceremony by which the promotion of 15 Non-Commissioned Officers of the National Army and 5 of the National Navy was carried out; they reached the maximum rank of the military career.
The head of the Ministry of Defense praised the nearly three decades of service to the homeland of the select group of promoted Non-Commissioned Officers, and urged them to redouble efforts to move forward relentlessly in the fight against narco-criminal organizations and in the protection of the country's natural resources.
Similarly, Minister Molano highlighted that the merits and virtues of the 20 newly promoted Non-Commissioned Officers of the military forces are the key to reach the pinnacle of the military career and be bearers of such honorable distinction.
There were 15 senior sergeants of command of the National Army, a Senior Sergeant of command of Navy infantry and 4 technical chiefs of command of the National Navy who were decorated by Minister Diego Molano to confirm their arrival to the last rank for a Non-Commissioned Officer.
"The profile that has gradually been configured for this important position is that of dynamic citizens, responsible, committed and knowledgeable of the phases of the conflict. He is the leader, the counselor, the advisor, and the teacher of the noncommissioned officers. With management and administration skills, with strategic, technical and tactical thinking" said the head of the Ministry of Defense.
Finally, the Minister of Defense pledged to continue strengthening the resources of the military and police forces, in order to increase the work, closeness, effectiveness and well-being in the frame of the constitutional task of the military.
