In rural San José del Guaviare, troops found a drug production laboratory that, according to information provided by military intelligence, would be marketed abroad.
Within the framework of Operation José Inocencio Chincá, under the guidelines of the bicentenary plan Heroes de la Libertad, in a coordinated work with the National Police, a cocaine hydrochloride laboratory was found; this drug would belong to the residual organized armed group, GAO-r, Estructura Primera.
In the military operation in the village Dallas Nare, in the municipality of San José del Guaviare, after extensive searches of the area and according to the intelligence information provided, they found a structure of 375 square meters, which in addition to produce the drug, hit the ecosystem with the chemical residues that are thrown indiscriminately in a forest zone.
More than 320 kilograms of solid precursors and approximately 2,000 gallons of liquid precursors were found by troops at the site, costing more than USD 400,000; in addition to several microwave ovens, electricity generators, washing machines, electric pumps and narcotics production machinery. The illegal merchandise was to be transported by strategic routes towards the borders of the south-east of Colombia, taking into account that abroad its value increases.
This site had the capacity to produce one ton of cocaine hydrochloride per month, valued at about 5,000 million pesos, and the dismantled construction hits the finances of the GAO-R Estructure Primera.
