The work to find them has been carried out since May 27, 2021, date on which these four people disappeared in the municipality of Mesetas, Meta.
With an aircraft of the Colombian Air Force, a Comprehensive Action activity was carried out by the civil, military, police and judicial investigation authorities.
In the framework of a joint work, co-ordinated and inter-agency operation carried out by the Joint Task Force Omega, the National Police, the office of the Attorney General and the Governor of the Meta, with the aim of finding the group of the Land Restitution Unit, the launch of more than 2,000 brochures and an air loud speaker mission was ordered over the municipalities of Mesetas, Vista Hermosa and Uribe.
In the brochures and in the loud speaker’s audio, information on the reward of up to 20 million pesos by the departmental administration for those who provide information leading to find the representative of the Land Restitution Unit, the driver and two claimants of land. In the same way, the telephone lines to give some key data were announced.
A helicopter of the Air Component of Joint Task Force Omega was used to carry out this operation by the Military Forces and the institutions of the region.
