In the course of a joint and coordinated operation, in the department of Norte de Santander, conducted by the Colombian Air Force, the National Army and the National Police, it was possible to find and destroy a cocaine hydrochloride production laboratory, a PBC laboratory and an acid laboratory belonging to the Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN.
This operation was carried out in the village Vetas, in the municipality of Tibú, Norte de Santander; as a result of this operation, 105 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride and abundant material and chemical precursors were found by troops, elements that seriously impact the environment.
Through this operation, it was possible to deal an economic blow by $ 1,176,940,400 COP; reducing the criminal capacity of this GAO Eln.
