Bringing the State closer to the most remote communities, a Development Support Activity was held last holyday Monday in the municipality El Retiro, Antioquia, where nearly 250 families benefited from comprehensive care.
In specialties such as pediatrics, internal medicine, dermatology, dentistry, sexology, gerontology, plastic surgery, nutrition and psychology, the inhabitants of the municipality Los Medios, in the eastern subregion of the department of Antioquia, were assisted.
In addition to medical assistance, they received donations such as clothing, footwear, toys and they also participated in recreational activities, which contributed to the strengthening of values and the family relationship. They in the same way received advice on legal issues and pregnant women benefited with Ecocunas (ecological cradles) for their babies.
This activity, led by the Colombian Air Force through its Professional Officers of the Reserve, in the same way had the support of the National Army, the San Juan de Dios Hospital and the Mayor's Office of El Retiro, joining efforts to bring the State services to the inhabitants who need it most.
With activities such as this, the Institution's commitment to the community is ratified, doing work in remote territories and bringing the State's services to children, young people and adults, who do not have these services permanently, thus becoming an opportunity to improve their quality of life.
