So far the military operation leaves as a result of two arrested; war material and military accessories were found.
In compliance with major operations José Inocencio Chincá and José María Córdova, aimed at hitting the drug trafficking chain and fighting the residual Organized Armed Groups, GAO-r, and in response to early warnings No. 018 of 2018 and 047 of 2020 issued by the Ombudsman's Office, due to the imminent risk of violations to freedom, life, security and breaches of the rules of international humanitarian law, the National Army arrested two alleged members of the residual GAO Carlos Patiño.
The action happened in the villages Perlas and Primavera, found in the Canyon of Micay, in the municipality of Argelia, south of the department of Cauca; it took place thanks to the operational deployment that comes forward from last August 20, 2021, with the purpose of counteracting the acts of violence and intimidation that this GAO residual have done to the inhabitants of this sector in the country.
In addition, in the military operation in which the Colombian Air Force and the Attorney General's Office participated jointly and inter-agency, a rifle, a pistol, several magazines, ammunition of different calibres and field equipment were seized, which were put into custody of the authorities for the judicial process, as well as those arrested.
