At the time of the arrest they were receiving 60 million pesos, as an initial payment of 100 million pesos that they would be demanding from a person, apparently a victim of extortion. These men were found with pamphlets, with which they would be identifying themselves as members of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Structure Jorge Briceño Suárez.
Thanks to a timely denunciation by the citizens, troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Ariari, of the National Army, in coordination with the Gaula of the National Police, in the sector known as Cruce Casibare, on the road from Puerto Lleras to Puerto Rico, Meta, arrested in flagrante delicto three individuals accused of being alias Johan, Morocho and Gerson, who would be receiving 60 million pesos of the payment of extortion against a rancher in the region.
After coordinating the military operation, the soldiers and police officers moved to the road where the alleged extortionists had summoned the victim for receiving the money and in a quick operation the arrests were made and they found two motorcycles and two cell phones. This material was handed over to the authorities.
The individuals in the same way had in their possession receipts for annual extortion payments and invoices of payment, which they would be distributing to the victims after receiving the money and where they would be identifying themselves as members of the residual GAO Estructura Jorge Briceño Suárez. They were in the same way found with lists with names of ranchers, farmers and merchants of the municipalities of Granada, Mesetas, Puerto Rico, Lejanías, San Juan de Arama, Vistahermosa and Fuente de Oro, Meta, who were objectives to extort money.
According to information from the authorities, these men had a history of rebellion within their criminal record and it was found that they had belonged to Structure 40 of the extinct FARC. In the same way, in 2014, one of those arrested, known by the alias of Jhoan, was allegedly a member of the Eastern Bloc of the extinct Farc. Currently, it had within its criminal activity several municipalities in the departments of Meta and Guaviare.
Those apprehended were given to the Attorney General's Office for the crime of extortion, and must be held to the authorities.
These arrests were carried out within the framework of the Bicentenary Campaign Plan Héroes de la Libertad, through Operation José María Córdova, with which the finances and expansion plans of this criminal structure were hit.
