In a coordinated operation conducted by the Colombian Navy and the National Police, 425 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride were found when attempting to enter the facilities of the Cartagena Port Society.
The events were reported in the sector known as Bella Vista, as far as the troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Bolívar, Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Élite Militar Conjunto Nacional No.1, crew members of the Coast Guard Station of Cartagena, in coordination with units of the Anti-Narcotics Police, inspected a container that was transported by a 27-year-old individual in a truck.
At the time of the search, 14 suitcases were found by troops inside the container with 425 rectangular packages apparently containing illicit substances.
The material found and the individual were taken to the facilities of the coast Guard Station of Cartagena, where units of the anti-Narcotics Police conducted the Tests leaving positive for 425 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, while the individual arrested was put into custody of the office of the Attorney General for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing, and/or carrying of narcotic drugs.
