The Military Transport Air Command, CATAM, received the visit of Brigadier General Sean M. Choquette, second commander of the Twelfth U.S. Air Force, and a delegation of the American Government, which demonstrates the excellent relations of the government of the United States of America and Colombia.
During his time at the Military Transport Air Command, CATAM, the second commander of the Twelfth U.S. Air Force and the U.S. delegation, they observed the distinctive resources that this military unit of the Colombian Air Force carried out, as well as the important work done with great professionalism by the men and women who make up this Command.
In the framework of this activity, they visit the Technical Group (GRUTE), the Operational Excellence Center (CEO) and finally the Aerospace Medicine Department (DIMAE) where they met the spatial disorientation laboratory, ideal for reproducing the conditions of total and partial barometric pressure of the component gases of the air, being an ideal instrument to take pilots to different physiological training practices.
Thus, the Colombian Air Force continues to project itself as a regional leader, strengthening ties of international cooperation and positioning itself as a reference for different air forces around the world thanks to the Resources acquired and its great operability.
