In 2021, 126 members of the First Structure of the dissidents of the Farc have been arrested; more than 50 rifles, 252 kilograms of cocaine, 664 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride have been found, 142 laboratories at the service of drug trafficking have been destroyed, and over 3,900 hectares of illicit plantations have been eradicated manually.
The Minister of National Defense, Diego Molano Aponte, revealed that after heavy firefights, the threat of 10 members of the law and order group of the First Structure, of the Farc dissidents, in the vicinity of Morichal, Guainía, was neutralized.
Speaking to the media, Minister Molano, accompanied by the military and Police commanders, reported that the operation is the result of a joint operation conducted by the National Army and the Colombian Air Force, together with the Attorney General's Office.
"In this operation, carried out within the framework of the Campaign Plan Heroes of Freedom, against illegal groups and activities, the threat of 10 individuals accused of being members of the law and order group, including alias Ferney or Mono, second in the command chain after alias Ivan Mordisco, was neutralized," said the Minister.
The head of the Ministry of Defense, reported that the operation was carried out thanks to "a strategic air attack, in the early hours, and through an air assault maneuver carried out by special commandos, and it was possible to neutralize these individuals, who were found by troops with four rifle-type long weapons and a machinegun."
"At the time of this operation, was also found alias Katerine, accused of being the group ringleader of this structure, and in charge of clandestine communications and illegal training courses, " Molano said.
Alias Ferney had a criminal experience of 12 years in the organization, and enjoyed great confidence of alias Iván Mordisco, main ringleader of the GAO-r at the national level; for this reason, he would have been selected since March 2021 to direct the First Structure, with criminal interference in the departments of Guaviare, Vichada and Guainía, border areas with Venezuela and Brazil, and he "coordinated drug trafficking activities to get coca to the airfields in Venezuela, or the coordination of drug trafficking activities through Brazil."
Finally, the minister of Defense said that alias Ferney's objective would be to "increase the number of members of this structure through forced recruitment in the different indigenous communities and settlements of these departments of Guaviare and Guainía."
