This individual died in combats against the Fernando Díaz structure of the group Segunda Marquetalia.
In a coordinated effort conducted by troops of the National Army, the Command Against Drug Trafficking and Transnational Threats and the Caquetá Police, Almín Rada Rada, alias Brandon, accused ringleader of the Fernando Díaz Company, of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Segunda Marquetalia, was neutralized during military operations.
The operation was conducted in the municipality of Loma Alta, in the municipality of Puerto Rico, where he tried to hide of the military operations that have been carried out in a sustained manner for months throughout the department of Caquetá.
The criminal operations of alias Brandon are reportedly focused on the municipalities of Puerto Rico and San Vicente del Caguán, Caquetá, and Algeciras, Huila.
According to information, he had a criminal experience of 10 years which began in 2011 as a guerrilla in the Front 21 Cacique Gaitana, of the former Farc, being responsible for different kidnappings in the department of Tolima.
This individual would be the right-hand man of Hernán Darío Velásquez Saldarriaga, alias el Paisa, and would have the mission of retaking control of important routes connecting the departments of Huila and Caquetá.
In the same way, he conducts territorial control in the area of influence of the former Column Teófilo Forero Castro, of the extinct Farc, making arrangements for the control of its former areas, as well as terrorist operations of great impact not only in the department of Caquetá, but at the national level.
With the neutralization of alias Brandon, decreases the ability of this structure to financing through illicit activities related to the collection of money from extortion and activities of production and marketing of base paste of coca. This group also loses influence over member of the boards of community action, petroleum producers groups and miners, owners of cattle farms, cheese producers, small and medium-sized traders.
