They in the same way found more than 40 cell phones inside a prison with which they allegedly made extortion calls.
During three coordinated and joint operations conducted by the National Army, the Colombian Navy, the National Police, and the Attorney General's Office, it was possible to arrest 12 people in the departments of Bolívar and Sucre who would be part of different groups outlaw.
The first operation took place in the municipality of Turbaco, Bolívar, where simultaneously troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Bolívar, of the Colombian Navy, the Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Caribe of the National Army and units of the SIJÍN Metropolitan Police of Cartagena, carried out search procedures issued by the First Municipal Criminal Court of the city of Cartagena.
In total, 10 men and one woman were arrested who were wanted for the crimes of association to commit aggravated crimes for extortion purposes, trafficking, manufacture and bearing of narcotics and illegal destination of furniture or real estate. Apparently, these men would be part of a Common Crime Gang, who under the command of alias El Barba, 62, who was also arrested, and perpetrated the distribution of narcotic substances in the Bolivarian municipality. In the proceedings it was in the same way possible to find a motorcycle, two cell phones and two precision scales.
Hours later in the Ternera prison in Cartagena, troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Bolívar, units of the Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Police, the Mobile Anti –Riot Squad and the National Penitentiary and Prison Institute - INPEC-made an operation inside the prison where they find 44 cell phones of different brands, which were apparently used to coordinate homicides and extortions. They in the same way found 24 cell phone chargers, 22 simcards, 15 hands-free, 8 cell phone batteries, 34 grams of cocaine hydrochloride, 170 grams of marijuana, 17 knifes, and six telephone lists that apparently had the victims contacts for extortion.
