In compliance with the Bicentenary Campaign Plan Heroes de la Libertad, the Joint Task Force for Stabilization and Consolidation Hercules in military operations, the National Army, and the Attorney General's Office arrest alias Marlon, El Pájaro, Víctor and three other members belonging to the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Urías Rondón, in the municipality of Barbacoas, Nariño.
In the military operation troops of the Rapid Deployment Force No.2, using information from military Intelligence in the way that leads from Tumaco to the city of Pasto, the military units found two vehicles and arrested these individuals. In the process of identification it was possible to establish that one of them was alias Marlon, who would take over as head chief of the structure GAO-r Urias Rondon, after the presumed death of the ringleader of the main structure alias Javier or El Viejo. Currently, this individual was leading the confrontations against the GAO-r, an Oliver Sinisterra structure, and apparently he had participated in the collective homicide in the town El Vallenato.
Alias El Pájaro or Tuerto was carrying out criminal operations against the GAO-r, Contadores structure, in the sector of Inda Zabaleta. Likewise, he would be responsible for the work of hired assassins, collection of extortion money, intimidation of civilians, forced conscription, trafficking of war material and executing attacks against civilians and the security forces.
Alias Víctor, the right hand in criminal activities of alias Marlon, made threats against the inhabitants of the sector on the villages of La Guayacana and La María, in the municipality of Junín, Barbacoas. In addition, he would be responsible for forced recruitment to strengthen residual structures.
These individuals apparently participated in the collective homicide that occurred in a public establishment where six people were murdered and others were injured in the municipality of Llorente.
The other three arrested members are known as alias santrich, personal escort and right hand of alias Marlon, alias Yurani, who apparently would be the wife of alias El pájaro or Tuerto and alias Yovanny, base guerrilla, who was part of this criminal structure.
During the military operation it was possible to find two pistols, two magazines, ammunition, cash and communications material.
Those arrested and the material found was carried by helicopter by members of the National Army aviation, in the company of personnel from the Technical Corps of Criminal Investigation and the special investigation unit of the Attorney General's Office, to the urban area of the municipality of Tumaco, to be given to the authority.
With this result, the armed component of this criminal organization, responsible for homicides, criminal acts and clashes with other structures of drug trafficking, will be hit.
