The inhabitants of the municipality of Valencia, Córdoba, invited the soldiers to continue providing this type of basic services, since in many cases access to them is difficult.
Infantry Battalion No.33 Batalla de Junín, a unit attached to the Eleventh Brigade, in coordination with Professional Officers of the Reserve, the Municipal Mayor's Office, private enterprise and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Hospital, carried out an Activity to Support Development in the municipality of Manzanares, where more than 600 people of the sector were benefited.
Those attending the event received assistance in general medicine, cytology, dentistry, mammograms, COVID tests and vaccination. There was also a space for the institutional services of the office of the Elderly, the Table of Victims and SISBEN.
Preventive talks on gender-based violence, legal advice, psychosocial support, hairdressing and recreation services were in the same way provided. In addition, food, biosafety and oral health kits were distributed.
It is necessary to mention that Valencia is one of the PDET municipalities, where the National Army carries out activities that contribute to the stabilization and transformation of the territory, guaranteeing the well-being of its inhabitants.
In addition, as guarantors of development, soldiers work to provide resources to help mitigate some of the needs of the inhabitants and contribute to the improvement of their quality of life.
