About 129,481 items in donation and 400 free health services were provided during the Development Support Activity led by the Colombian Air Force given to the Achagua and Piapoco indigenous peoples in the rural area of the municipality of Puerto López, Meta
The two indigenous communities received comprehensive care for distribution of medicines, managed to make 114 Dentistry Procedures, 148 Triage, 148 Consultations with the respective diagnosis, treatment and formulation own specialties of family medicine such as Neurology, Ophthalmology, Urology, Dermatology, Physiatry, Pediatrics, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Pulmonology, Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and General Medicine.
For this important work, the Air Combat Command No.2 through the department of Comprehensive Action, managed to join the efforts of the Professional Officers of the CORFA Reserve, the Juan N Corpas Foundation, private companies and the Meta Government.
As expressed by the inhabitants of these reservations, after leaving each assessment, this activity promotes the improvement of their quality of life in view of the fact that it is difficult for them to travel to the municipal seat due to economic issues and lack of time to schedule appointments and, in case, come back for examinations.
